Dubai Press Club (DPC) today announced the workshops and sessions of the 9th Arab Media Forum as well footage from the Arab Journalism Awards uploaded on YouTube have already registered over 40,000 online viewers.

A total of 92 video montages are featured on www.youtube.com/dubaipressclub. In addition to independent sessions, coverage of the programmes by television channels that were uploaded on the DPC Facebook page during the event has also been incorporated on YouTube. The content can be accessed on www.twitter.com/dubaipressclub as well.

AMF 2010 drew rich perspectives from more than 70 speakers over the two-day event that was held from 13-14 May and attended by over 2,400 participants from 38 countries.

Dubai Press Club’s latest initiative comes as part of its continuing efforts to connect with the global network of media personnel, writers, intellectuals, media students and individuals keen to keep abreast of evolving trends in the Arab region. It also validates the importance Dubai Press Club places on leveraging new media tools to reach a wider audience.

The Dubai Press Club has an active online presence that complements its growing international stature. Its activities can be accessed on www.dpc.org.ae while www.arabmediaforum.ae and www.arabjournalismaward.ae offer details on the Arab Media Forum and the Arab Journalism Awards.

The 9th Arab Media Forum held under the theme ‘Shifting Mediascape: Inspiring Content…Expanding Reach’ witnessed influential decision-makers from the visual, print, audio and online media segments exploring a roadmap for the industry’s future.

The forum also offered a platform for Arab and international journalists to network and examine emerging trends and challenges in the industry. In its endeavour to draw up another successful edition, Dubai Press Club has drawn up a survey based on a scientific approach to elicit responses for further enhancing the content and agenda of the 10th Arab Media Forum.
