Presenter of "The Opposite Direction"
Al Jazeera Channel

Dr. Faisal Al Qassem is a presenter of ’ The Opposite Direction ‘ , Al Jazeera Channel. Starting his career as a presenter and producer for Arabic programmes on the BBC network between 1988 and 1989, he worked as a presenter on MBC in 1991. He went on to host Arabic news programmes on BBC from 1994 to 1996, following which he moved to Al Jazeera news channel to present his program “The Opposite Direction” that he continues to host to date. Al Qassem has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Damascus University, and has a PhD in English Literature from University of Hail in the UK.
