Prof. Adel Iskandar is a Media and Communications Lecturer at the Georgetown University in Washington DC. His current research deals with new media, identity and politics while his forthcoming book is an exploration of Internet authority, e-journalism and blogging across the Arab world and its far-reaching implications for global communication.
Prof. Iskandar is also the Founder and Executive Director of Voices without Borders International, a media development NGO focused on capacity-building and training of the youth in underprivileged communities worldwide.
His latest publication includes the edited volume of ‘Edward Said: A Legacy of Emancipation and Representation’ (2010).
