Khaled Khalifa is Head of Middle East/Asia Bureau - UNITED NATIONS IRIN News Service.
Earlier, he headed IRIN’s Asia and the Middle East office. Khalifa has over 13 years of experience in the field of humanitarian relief through working in a number of international organizations across the world. He has also led relief work in areas affected by armed conflict and natural disasters. Proficient in project management and the design of environmental programmes, he specialises in natural disaster reduction and response.
With a Master's degree and diploma in project management to his credit, he is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in sustainable development.
