Dr. Ghubash holds a PhD in Community and Epidemiological Psychiatry from the University of London. In 1992, she became a professor in the same discipline. In 2006, she was elected as the president of the Arab Women Network in Science and Technology. Since then, she held the position of President of Arabian Gulf University for eight consecutive years. Dr. Ghubash is prominently active in the different programs and services provided by the civil community associations. She is one of the female leaders that managed to achieve distinguished accomplishments in record time. She is also a member of a number of international institutions, among which is the Consultation Committee for the Human Development Reports issued by the United Nations. She has additionally participated in key regional and international conferences.
