Faisal J. Abbas is a London-based journalist, blogger and social commentator. He is renowned for his contributions to the US based Huffington Post, where he writes regularly about Middle Eastern affair, while focusing on the media, cultural and social economic subjects.
He also comments regularly on news channels such as CNN, BBC and daily newspapers such as the Financial Times, International Herald Tribune and The Times
Abbas has worked with several leading Arab media outlets such as Asharq Al Awsat, where he established and edited the paper’s weekly ‘Media Supplement’, Al Hayat and Future Television of Lebanon.
His work was recognized on an international level in 2009 when he was awarded a prestigious ‘Cutting Edge Award’ at the International Media Council’s annual media awards in London, he also served as a senior judge at the Foreign Press Association’s 60th anniversary annual media and is an alumni of the US IVLP - Edward R. Murrow program for excellence in journalism.
Abbas holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Lebanese American University and a Masters in Marketing Communication from the University of Westminster in London. Faisal also currently works as a senior Middle East correspondent for the International Resource Journal
