Farah Al Atassi is the founder and president of the Arab Information and Resource Center in Washington DC. She is also the owner of Zenobia Lounge in the US, the first multicultural café and bookshop about the Arab and Muslim worlds. She is the executive director of American Arab Communication and Translation Center (ACT) which provides a range of translations, language services, research, media monitoring, strategic assessment and analysis to both the US and Arab governments and corporations. Al Atassi writes and appears frequently on Arab and American media discussing Middle Eastern issues and the US relations with Arab and Muslim worlds. She is the author of many publications in Arabic and English and has published a collection of short stories titled ‘The Mask’.
