With more than 20 years of experience across all media industries (music, film, broadcasting and online), Giorgio Ungania is currently serving as Executive Director for the Zayed University Media Initiative. A passionate early adopter of all new technologies, Ungania is a firm believer of the potential of online new media communication. Ungania has also an intense experience with mainstream Arabic Broadcasting having worked for the launch of the Orbit Network (currently OSN) and for the national broadcaster Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI). Together with the College of Communication and Media Sciences of Zayed University, Ungania has been involved in launching ambitious local online projects such as the official YouTube Channel for the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) and the prestigious Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed Youth Media Awards.
