Hamdy Kandil is a senior presenter of current affairs programmes on Arab television. Kandil started his career with the Egyptian TV in 1960. He was the director of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in the seventies and the director of Free Flow of Information and Communication Policies at UNESCO, Paris, in the eighties. Kandil was the founder of ORIENSAT in Zurich and Tipaza Audio-visual in Algeria. He managed MBC and ART TV networks. He was an advisor for the Omani Ministry of Information and Jordan TV, as well as a lecturer at several universities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
