Hussein Amin (Ph.D., The Ohio State University, 1986) is a professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at the American University in Cairo. Dr. Amin has taught a wide range of subjects and given lectures at different organizations and universities throughout the world on a wide range of topics related to the media. Dr. Amin holds several key positions in national, regional and global media organisations. He is an active contributor and a member of the advisory board to an extensive list of professional and academic journals and internationally recognized publications in the field of communications and media. In addition, he has presented papers to more than a hundred international academic conferences. Dr. Amin serves as International consultant to many electronic media establishments and his interests include comparative media regulation, media and conflict, media convergence, global and transnational broadcasting.
