Laila El Honi is the owner and writer of the blog Libya Ya Omenaya. Born in Tripoli, Libya, she received a teaching diploma in music and worked as a teacher in Libya for 15 years before immigrating with her husband and children to the UK in 2003. She worked in radio broadcasting in Sout – Al Amal station that was aired from London, where she hosted a program titled 'Hadrazah Bent Libya'.
