
Lamia Radi

veteran Egyptian correspondent and journalist, Lamia Radi worked in Agence France Presse for 16 years. She currently works as international media consultant with the BBC World Service, and is a member of the editorial board and head of the Arab and International Issues Division in El Shorouk daily Egyptian newspaper. She is specialized in covering the armed conflicts and political issues in the Middle East and North and East Africa. Radi started her career as a correspondent at the United Nations in Geneva before joining the Italian News Agency ANSA in Cairo. She has worked in a large number of countries in the region, especially Egypt, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, UAE, Yemen, Libya, and Algeria. Radi holds a Masters in Art Critique from the Egyptian Academy of Arts, Cairo, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Cairo University.
