Octavia. Nasr is the founder of Bridges Media Consulting and Editor of OctaviaNasr.com. She dedicates a large portion of her time to writing, providing commentary, and speaking on Middle East politics and current affairs. Her expertise also engulfs the area between social and traditional media with a focus on employing social media in newsgathering and reporting. Prior to establishing her consulting firm, she worked at CNN and led the network's integration of social media and international newsgathering. She has also served as CNN's senior editor of Middle East affairs for more than ten years. Octavia's career began at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation where she reported from the front lines of Lebanon's civil war. As the executive producer of the LBC nightly news, she contributed reports to CNN during one of the most dangerous times for journalists in that country.
