Samir Atallah is a daily column writer in Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper since 1987, and weekly opinion writer for Al Nahar Lebanese newspaper. He is known for mixing politics with literature and culture with events. He worked as a reporter for Al Nahar in Europe and United Nations, and worked in Kuwait as editor in chief of Al Anba newspaper in addition to working as editor in chief for Al Sayyad in London. He was awarded with Newspaper Column Award in 2008.
